Can students fill in any name (nickname or abbreviation) when completing the waiver?

Participant Questions: Can cash payments be tax-free? Can lessons be discounted? Is there a discount for booking multiple lessons?
- A: TXSNOW strictly adheres to Canadian laws, and every dollar is taxed properly. Cash payments do not qualify for tax exemptions, and discounts are not available for basic lessons.
- All courses have a lot of student benefits + small gifts that are more delicious than discounts.
Example of benefits: Monthly 25% OFF on Burton products, and year-round discount benefits on Demon United protective gear for participants. - Instructor Discount Privileges:
We support instructors in offering discounts to good friends and those they wish to discount. Instructors are granted the privilege to apply discounts three times per month.
Lessons discounted by instructors will be taught by the discounting instructor themselves. TXSNOW and the instructor will share the discount proportionally. - Returning Customer Discount:

Can I teach at other clubs after becoming a TXSNOW instructor? How can I terminate my contract?
TXSNOW does not prohibit instructors from teaching at other clubs or ski resorts. Everything is based on fairness and freedom.
If you decide to discontinue teaching at TXSNOW, please contact info@T-XSnow.com or reach out to the TX official account.
If you decide to return after terminating your contract, don’t hesitate to contact us. The doors of TXSNOW will always be open for you! -
Does TXSNOW have professional insurance that meets the requirements of the ski resort?
TXSNOW carries a CAD $10 million commercial liability insurance policy, compliant with the regulations and requirements of insurance companies and ski resorts, ensuring the safety of both instructors and participants.

Is insurance important?
In line with our values of equality and freedom, we do not permit instructors wearing TXSNOW uniforms to conduct teaching activities for non-TXSNOW services.
At the same time, we encourage instructors to fully understand the importance of insurance for both themselves and the participants. If an instructor clearly communicates to all participants that they do not wish to take the risk of teaching without insurance, then all participants will be enrolled in the TXSNOW system, ensuring a safe and secure environment for learning to ski.

Which ski resorts have formal partnership agreements with TXSNOW?
A:Officially signed partnerships include:

Blue Mountain is a year-round strategic partner. Its learning area can only be used by Blue Mountain’s snow school and TXSNOW instructors.
For ski resorts where we do not have formal partnerships, we will not operate.
We kindly ask our instructors to stay aligned with this policy. If participants wish to take lessons at other ski resorts, please direct them to the official partner organizations or the ski school at the respective resort. -

What is the salary like, and when is it disbursed?
Our compensation structure includes standard lesson fees and additional bonuses. We offer highly competitive salaries and benefits in the market. We believe that only when instructors teach safely and happily will participants learn safely and happily.
Salary is paid monthly. -
What types of instructor points are there?

Are there any requirements for the number of working days or lessons?
A: There are no requirements; we respect the freedom of instructors to manage their own time.
Instructors who want to teach full-time can get more points and schedule classes by bringing more students in.
The more instructors who want to teach more lessons, the more encouraged they are to provide weekly teaching time and places in advance to facilitate the arrangement of lessons.
For those who do not wish to be tied down long-term and prefer to work as part-time instructors, or who are more interested in joining TXSNOW to meet like-minded skiing enthusiasts for enjoyable skiing and training without the pressure of regular teaching commitments, you can take on students arranged by TXSNOW on an ad-hoc basis whenever you feel like teaching.
There are no requirements for working days or lesson hours. We respect the freedom of instructors to manage their own time.
• For full-time instructors: You can bring in more participants to earn more points and teaching opportunities. The more you want to teach, the more we encourage you to provide your available teaching schedule and preferred locations in advance to facilitate lesson arrangements.
• For part-time instructors: If you prefer a more flexible schedule and mainly want to join TXSNOW to meet like-minded snow enthusiasts, enjoy skiing, and participate in training, there is no pressure to take on many lessons. You can accept TXSNOW student assignments on an ad-hoc basis whenever you’re available.
This ensures a balance between freedom and opportunity for all instructors. -
How can I get students?
A:Instructors, please promptly and frequently manage/update your social media platforms, such as Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, X, etc.

By establishing your own IP and aligning with the matrix concept of expanding the TXSNOW brand, you can attract more followers and enhance the brand trustworthiness of the Organization you are affiliated with.

What is the Star Instructor Wall?
A: Please provide a personal photo upon onboarding. All instructors will have a basic profile with their photo and name listed. When signing the contract, instructors should also provide links to their various social media accounts, which will be displayed on the Star Instructor Wall for easy browsing by clients.
Welcome to all contracted instructors! Feel free to provide a recent photo, ski photo, or any stylish picture of yourself, along with a fun and engaging personal bio for us to feature on the TXSNOW website. We aim to build each instructor’s unique identity and presence.
We will select star instructors according to the teaching situation and specially design the star instructor wall for display.
When participants search, they can also see the formality of the instructor who is endorsed by the website.
Please provide a personal photo when joining TXSNOW. All instructors will have a basic photo and name listed. Upon signing, please share your social media links, which will be displayed on the Star Instructor Wall for clients to browse.

Any course other than 1v1 is 13 years old. Students under the age of 13 must be 1v1.

Instructor Requirements
Thorough Understanding of Teaching Content:
o As the primary source of information for students learning to ski, instructors must demonstrate consistency in words and actions. They should have a complete and clear understanding of the teaching content, as well as the ability to explain and demonstrate effectively on the slopes. This includes knowledge of skiing techniques and the equipment being used.Positive Teaching Attitude:
- o Instructors should foster a positive and encouraging teaching environment with excellent service attitudes. When students display anxiety or frustration during the learning process, instructors must be patient and guide them progressively, using supportive methods to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Effective Communication:
- o To minimize misunderstandings, instructors should communicate with students in a concise and straightforward manner.
- Observation and Analytical Skills:
o Instructors must have strong observational and analytical abilities to effectively identify and address students’ issues. They should provide achievable teaching goals and solutions based on their observations. - Leadership in Training and Guidance:

Safe Teaching Practices- Helmets:

If a student refuses to wear a helmet, the instructor must decline to teach and promptly notify management. - Equipment Check:

Can I, as a Level 2 instructor, take lessons at the Level 1 instructor rate?
Yes you can.
We will make a separate note on your payroll for such cases. -
Can our wages be paid in cash?
A: We adhere to the principle of legality and compliance, and every cent is taxed properly.
All instructor salaries are treated as independent contractor earnings. For salaries amounting to $500 or more over a year, our accounting team will issue a T4A to the instructor.
Please plan your taxes accordingly in advance.

What should I do if a participant is late? What should I do if I’m late?
A: Temporary Regulations on Participant Tardiness:
- Please be on time and arrive at the designated place 10-15 minutes in advance. The lesson time is subject to the appointment time. If late, we will not be able to postpone/make up the time;
- If you need to purchase lift tickets and equipment, please complete the process before your lesson time. Arrive at the ski resort at least 1 to 1.5 hours in advance to ensure a smooth rental process. Please note that ski resorts are busier on weekends and holidays.
Temporary Regulations on Instructor Tardiness:
Tardiness:
If an instructor anticipates being late due to objective reasons or emergencies, they must promptly inform the participant and management/designated customer service. This will be marked as one tardiness.
If an instructor is more than 15 minutes late without notifying the management and participant, it will be considered an unexcused absence.
If the instructor communicates with the participant and receives understanding, it will still be considered tardiness, but the instructor must either double the missed time or compensate with an equivalent lesson fee.
Three instances of tardiness or one unexcused tardiness within a single ski season will result in contract termination.
Unexcused Absence:
If an instructor cannot fulfill a confirmed lesson more than 48 hours in advance, they must find a replacement instructor (of the same level and employed at TXSNOW).
If an instructor cancels a lesson between 48 and 24 hours before the lesson, they must compensate half of the lesson fee.
If an instructor cancels within 24 hours, they must compensate the full lesson fee.
Force majeure factors will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If an instructor is absent without notification, this will result in contract termination and forfeiture of all accumulated points.
Policies for Participant Lateness:Punctuality is Required:
- Participants are expected to arrive at the designated location 10-15 minutes early. Lesson time begins at the scheduled time. If late, we will not be able to extend or make up the missed time. Preparation in Advance:
- If the participant needs to purchase ski passes or rent equipment, they should complete these tasks before the lesson starts. It is recommended to arrive at the ski resort at least 1-1.5 hours early to ensure smooth equipment rental, especially on weekends and holidays when the resort is busier.
Policies for Instructor Lateness:
- Lateness:
If an instructor might be late due to objective reasons or emergencies, they must promptly contact the participant and management/designated customer service personnel. A lateness mark will be recorded.
If the instructor is late for more than 15 minutes without notifying the responsible parties or the participant, it will be treated as absenteeism.
If communication is made and the participant agrees, it will still be treated as lateness, but the instructor must double the missed time or compensate the equivalent lesson fee. - Seasonal Lateness Limits:
Lateness up to three times in one snow season or more than one unexcused lateness will result in contract termination.

Some students don’t want to go to class, and parents don’t want to take care of their children. What should I do if they want me to skate/shoot videos with me?

We will provide whatever service students want. For example, a student can also invite 5 coaches to accompany them to ride+ shoot videos.

What are the responsibilities and obligations of being a TXSNOW instructor?

What is a package? How to introduce the package to the students?

Level 1 instructor 2-hour price, including package: $185+tax
Usually, the default quotation to the students is the price including the package $185+tax=$209.

I want to improve riding and teaching. Will there be training?
TXSnow instructors can participate in our regular training at a very low cost.
Our training includes two parts: teaching and riding.
Our instructor training section includes:
Snowboarding: Principal Alex provides full-day training on weekends, and CASI senior level 3 instructor Adam Lowe provides full-time training on weekends or during the week.
Ski: Co-principal Nikki provides ski all-day training, CSIA senior level 3 instructor Catherine, and level 4 instructor Peter will also provide us with training.

Will TXSNOW assign participants?
A: TXSNOW operates like an Uber-like platform.
Instructors who bring their own participants into the TXSNOW system will receive higher priority for lesson scheduling.
Instructors without their own participants can accept system-assigned participants on a temporary basis (availability is not guaranteed).
The more lessons an instructor teaches, the higher their scheduling priority.
Participants assigned by the system will be prioritized based on their needs and will be matched first with Star Instructors, Top Instructors, and those with the highest ratings. -
Wil I be required to sign a waiver?
Yes.
According to the latest 2024 regulations across Canada by the insurance company, all lessons must have a signed TXSNOW waiver before purchase can be completed.
Without signing the waiver, payment and lesson participation will not be possible.

What does the 2V4 beginner group lesson mean? Does it really cost only $119 per person for a 2-hour lesson?!

What is KM?
A:KM stands for KidsMaster, a program pioneered by TXSNOW. It is designed to provide customized teaching content and lesson durations based on children’s current age, physical stamina, focus, and attention span.
TXSNOW carefully selects KM instructors and divides children into three age groups to accurately match them with the most suitable KM instructor for their age.
KM instructors must meet one of the following qualifications:- At least 30/50 hours of on-snow teaching experience with children.
- At least 30/50 hours of experience teaching children in other sports, plus a minimum of 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience with children.
- Being a parent themselves, combined with at least 10 hours of on-snow teaching experience with children.
This ensures a high-quality and tailored learning experience for each child.
